New MacBook to launch at Infinite Loop event?

However, all these rumors, including the release date for the 2016 MacBook Air, will be answered during the Apple event on march 21.

Though the MacBook Pro's appearance has not been confirmed, Apple loyalists can follow the event this coming March 21 via live stream to find out. Unfortunately, to the disappointment of many, Apple introduced a new laptop - the 12-inch Retina MacBook with USB-C port, which is the new line of Apple's MacBook. To recall, if one looks back, the new MacBook Air models arrived in April of 2014 and March of 2015.

There are high chances that a new MacBook Pro will be available during the March 21 event since Apple often releases new laptops at this time of the year, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro variant was last updated a year ago. In addition, with Apple having a couple of MacBook lineups, a staggered release starting early in the year is probable, with the next launches occurring in the middle of and late 2016 completing the new lineups. However, the company is likely to hold a separate launch event at WWDC in June to reveal the MacBook Pro 2016. "But we've been getting the sense lately that Apple is trying to play down expectations of upcoming Mac launches, and there aren't any hints in the invite to suggest laptop-related announcements", Macworld wrote. The MacBook Air is Apple's newest 13.3' ultra-thin notebook computer featuring Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Intel X3100 integrated graphics and an optional 64GB solid state drive (SSD).

There are non-stop talk about the new gadgets that Apple will be presenting in their upcoming event.

The event is expected to unveil the much awaited iPhone SE and maybe even the iPad Air 3.

However, there are experts who point out that the mid-year launch for new MacBook may not be such a good idea.

Aside from that, there are rumors that the next MacBook will also come with a touchscreen and/or a detachable front similar to Microsoft's famed Surface Books. But, if Apple does proceed with this feature, then it should also equip the tablet with a better battery since 4K displays are very demanding when it comes to power supply.

The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be powered by sixth-generation Intel Skylake processors.
