Ohio official: "nervous as hell" over RNC in Cleveland

Ohio official:

With the Republican National Convention one week away, Donald Trump's opponents are launching a long-shot bid to deny him the party's presidential nomination.

"The party conventions are like the political Olympics, and I'm excited to be headed to Cleveland to stand with my fellow LGBT Republicans and allies", Jenner said in a statement sent to The Daily Beast.

City of Cleveland Deputy Police Chief Ed Tomba told Reuters on Friday that "We have got to make some changes, without a doubt".

The Yue Amendment is clearly aimed at thwarting efforts by fellow committee member Kendal Casey Unruh, who is leading the rebel charge for a rule that acknowledges an already existing right of delegates to vote their conscience. She's not voting for Trump or Clinton. A deadline for Cleveland to work out details passed in early June, and the Franklin County Sheriff's office then withdrew its offer of assistance. Two scathing reports in recent weeks have highlighted her dishonesty and questioned her competence-in regard to her handling of Benghazi and her use of a private email server when she was secretary of state.

Crawford's explanation for his commitment to Trump underscores the importance of obscure party rules that have tangible consequences.

Led by Goldwater, conservatives won control of the Republican Party at one of its most contentious conventions, the 1964 gathering in San Francisco.

And Maryland is among an even smaller share of those states in which the victor of the primary receives all of the state's delegates.

"I can honestly say that I don't know if I'll vote for Hillary Clinton", said Shane Assadzandi, 27, of West Virginia, and a Sanders delegate.

After what must feel like decades to some voters, it looks like the Democratic and Republican National Conventions are (finally!) around the corner.

Other listed ideas include a "Go Trump yourself" kit which plans to include "spray tan, hair dye, tiny foam fingers, dog whistle and a regular whistle because "come to think about it, Trump isn't subtle about his hate".

Their latest effort, supported by groups with names such as Free the Delegates and Courageous Conservatives, involves a proposed convention rule change that would allow delegates to support whomever they want.

Workers constructed a platform for photographers to work from on the convention floor as preparations are underway for the Republican National Convention.

Like Kelly, Carver served as an alternate in 2012 and is going to his first convention as a delegate. Rodney Frelinghuysen, Scott Garrett, Leonard Lance and Frank LoBiondo - said they would not, but it had nothing to do with Trump. The rules committee will meet beginning Thursday. "Anybody who wants to run for governor is very likely to be at this convention", said Sen.

"They thought they could steal this nomination after 14 million people cast votes for Donald Trump - and there would be an uproar in society".

"As of now, I am afraid to walk or take a taxi anywhere while in Cleveland, and plan to stay with my delegation", she said. So what channel will the Republican and Democratic conventions be on?

Kristol explained that he has called on Romney or Kasich because other senior party figures have either ruled themselves out or declared they have backed Trump.

"To think something could be changed a week before the convention is slim to nil", she said.
