Manchester United are reportedly lining up an improbable move for world-class ex-Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, Liverpool Kop reports.

Going by the recent lacklustre performances of the Red Devils, the club's top strikers have failed to score on a regular basis.

The Uruguay forward looks set to extend his stay at the Nou Camp until the summer of 2021 once the final few details of the contract renewal are finalised.

Keane, 23, left Old Trafford for Turf Moor in 2015 and helped Burnley to promotion to the Premier League in is first season.

In England, team managers are restricted from talking about match officials ahead of games and Mourinho is likely to face a ban, heavy fine or warning about future conduct. That is the sort of stuff that drives me every day.

"Had I had the option I probably would have stayed and tried my luck but I think leaving has been the best thing for me".

Suarez, 29, is understood to be happy at Barcelona and is close to signing a new contract with wages on par with team-mate Neymar.

In just two years at Barcelona, he has won both La Liga and the Copa del Rey on two occasions, as well as the Champions League, Supercopa de Espana, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup. If the illustrious 'MSN' trio continue to be as destructive as they have been since their inception, he will no doubt add plenty more to his trophy cabinet.

Manchester United have no chance of persuading Luis Suarez to leave Barcelona, according to Guillem Balague.
