Apple May Postpone iPhone 8 Launch

After all, the new technology Apple is bringing to this device is clearly difficult to build, and considering the demand that Apple is reportedly expecting for this new model, Apple probably isn't going to want to launch this new device until it can prepare a lot of them for initial shipment.

The Apple iPhone 8 has been in the rumor mills for quite some time now even though Cupertino hasn't even confirmed its existence. The company is known to re-introduce its phone's design every two years, but multiple reports and leaks suggest that Apple might adopt a different approach with the iPhone 8. However, there may be a problem with that timeline.

Economic Daily News points to "technical issues related to the lamination process of curved OLED panels" as one reason for the holdup, according to DigiTimes. Hence, it is believed that the iPhone maker would not want to provide its greatest handset with a competitive advantage by slapping a higher price tag on its next iPhone, compared to the recent Galaxy handsets.

The starting price of iPhone 8 will be USD 1000 which is over Rs 1 lac in Pakistan.

So far all we're seeing are mockups of what people think the new model could look like. It is merely rumored. With this theory, Milunovich's prices appear to be just predictions and speculations rather than legit inside sources. The tech giant is finally shifting from LCD displays to OLED ones which will be provided by rival Samsung.

The core business of Lumentum and Finisar is optical communications for telecom networks and data centers, and consumer electronics-smartphones would be a new market opportunity. Apple stock has shot up 25% in 2017 as anticipation grows for a strong iPhone 8 upgrade cycle.

As a result, the iPhone 8 may not hit store shelves until October at the earliest or November at the absolute latest.

'This is yet to happen for iPhone 8'. At least 55 million of the units are expected to feature OLED panels.

The iPhone 8 is also expected to come with an Iris scanner, like the Samsung Galaxy S8, as well as a facial recognition feature.
